Great Website, Rinconada Masters!

September 25, 2015

Isn’t this a terrific-looking website? My day job is maintaining three of my own websites: TechnologyBloopers.com, Wilddancer.com, and WhyMenDieYoung.com, which are content-laden but perhaps more utilitarian-looking. My wife has swum Masters for decades, but I am a latecomer to Masters Swimming. Partly because I traveled a lot, to faraway places with strange-sounding names, so I wasn’t in town to swim regularly. Fortunately, being blessed to live in California we can swim outside year-round, so I could start with the “junior varsity”, in the form of Coach Carol’s Swim4Fitness program. What’s not to like at noon in July (2013)? Assistant Coach Ken Hepper (now retired) and I bonded nicely, and I got up the learning curve a ways. In December I switched to the Masters Program, and have done it ever since. Carol’s coaching tips have smoothed out some of the worst of my faults, and I find my times improving enough to keep me motivated. I look forward to the possibility of competing when my next big birthday rolls around.
